Not all things are best expressed in words...the symbolic work of following one's images is a significant way to deepen and further process I love working in the symbolic realm, and listening to/seeing my favorite consultant, people’s unconscious. I have been honing this through for many years, and it started in my training as a creative arts therapist in the 1970s.
I have my Master's degree in Art Therapy and Creativity Development. I am a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist and a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.
My experience as a former dancer helps me bring a heightened awareness of body based states to my practice
Director of the Institute for Expressive Analysis 2002-2008, on the board from 1993-2008, I am a specialist in masks and mask work, mandalas, sand tray, and several kinds of hypnosis.

UNIVERSITY AND POST GRADUATE TEACHING:
I have had the honor to teach many students, here and abroad. My core subject is how to work with and understand symbols and metaphor. I teach regularly at 3 universities in New York City: Pratt Institute of Design, the New School for Social Research, the School of Visual Arts and the Institute for Expressive Analysis. I have also taught for the Korean Expressive Arts Therapy Association and Mjungi University in Seoul, South Korea. The classes I teach are: Art Diagnosis, Symbolism in Art Therapy, Alchemy, Dream Interpretation, and Symbolization and Creativity, and combinations of the above.
